Hosting
This site is served by GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). To deliver the site and protect it from abuse, GitHub processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, the time, the page requested and browser details. I have no access to this data and no influence on it.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: my legitimate interest in a secure, reliably available website. Data may be transferred to the USA. GitHub is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR); GitHub also uses the Commission's standard contractual clauses. Details: GitHub's privacy statement.
No cookies, no tracking
This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising services and loads no fonts or scripts from third parties.
Local storage
Unless you choose otherwise, the site is dark. If you use the light/dark switch at the top right, your browser stores this choice locally on your device (localStorage). It is not sent to me. What the Sequently pages and the level editor store locally is described below.
Only what you choose or enter yourself is stored, and only so that the site behaves the way you set it. Under § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act) this needs no consent. You can delete this data at any time in your browser settings ("clear website data").
Contact by e-mail
If you write to me, I use your e-mail address and your message only to answer you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where a contract or its preparation is concerned, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (my legitimate interest in answering you). I delete the message once your request is settled, unless statutory retention periods apply. Mail to my address on tinytwigstudio.com is forwarded by my domain provider Namecheap (Namecheap, Inc., USA) to my mailbox at Microsoft Outlook, where your e-mail is kept. Data may be transferred to the USA in the process.
No automated decisions
There is no automated decision-making and no profiling.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). A short e-mail to me is enough. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Responsible for me is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany, datenschutz-berlin.de.
Level editor
The level editor for Pip Relight (stish.github.io/puzzle_game, also served by GitHub Pages) works entirely in your browser. Your browser stores the level you are working on locally (localStorage) so that it is still there next time. So that the editor also works offline, your browser keeps a copy of its files (service worker, cache storage). Levels are not sent to me; a level only leaves your device when you share a link or QR code yourself. Legal basis and deletion as under "Local storage" above.
Sequently links
A tune someone sends you from Sequently is contained entirely in the link after the # sign. Browsers do not send this part to the server. The page /sequently/ reads it only in your browser to show and play the tune. Nothing is stored or sent.
The composer at /sequently/compose/ also runs only in your browser. Your browser stores the name you enter as "Your name" and your choice of note names locally (localStorage) so they are there next time. They are not sent to me, and you can delete them at any time in your browser settings. Your name only appears in the links and pictures you share yourself.
The Sequently app
Sequently collects no personal data and sends nothing to me: no account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. Your games, best scores, songbook, settings and the name you enter under "Your name" stay on your device. When you delete the app, they are gone.
You share tunes only yourself, as a link, QR code or picture through the iOS share sheet; the tune is entirely in the link. "From photo" reads the QR code only from the picture you choose, and only on your device; the app has no access to your other photos and needs no camera permission.
Purchases in the app ("Sequently Full", "Buy me a coffee") are handled by Apple through the App Store (Apple Distribution International Ltd., Ireland). I do not see payment details; Apple only gives me aggregated sales figures that do not identify you. Apple's privacy policy applies. If you write to me via "Support", the section "Contact by e-mail" applies.
